Payment structure for a commissioned ceramic artwork
First enquiry and rough quote free and without obligation.
Initial detailed discussion of project requirements. A minimum fee £50 is charged for a site visit at this stage. This includes the supply of several rough drawings, together with a choice of glaze examples and photographic work.
Stage 1. Production of a detailed written quotation and contract less the initial site visit fee, if applicable.
Stage 2. Site visit and accurate measurement of proposed area, if necessary, and production of finished design drawings.
Stage 3. Approval of finished design drawings.
Stage 4. Manufacture of biscuit fired ceramics.
Stage 5. Approval of glaze test colours
Stage 6. Completion of glazing and final approval. Third payment on delivery.
Stage 7. Fixing of mural in situ if required. Payment for fixing costs.Most medium sized projects can be completed in approximately three months.
Alterations and additions after completion can be carried out at additional cost.
A commission will only be undertaken if it can be finished in reasonable time.
Only one project is worked on at time which ensures that my time is dedicated to you and your work of art. Interim payment of the second third of total price.
Payment structure for a commissioned painting

Stage 1. Payment of initial deposit of one third of the total price. Photographic work and a visit to a subject location if required will be done at this stage.
Stage 2. Payment of remainder of price on completion.
Most paintings can be completed within three months from the payment of the initial deposit. A commission for a painting will only be undertaken if it is possible to complete within a reasonable time and only when there is a window between tiling commissions.
Gabrielle reserves the right to reject any commission she prefers not to execute. No deposit will be accepted if that is her choice. Once a contract is signed and the initial deposit paid, that is a binding contract between the client and Gabrielle and she will complete the artwork as soon as possible.
